I am an architect, researcher and artist based between Berlin and Colombia. I was born and grew up part of my life in Colombia and the other part I have been living in Bolivia and Berlin. I studied Architecture at the University of Arts Berlin and Glasgow School of Arts in Scotland.
My work situates at the intersection between artistic research, curation, and design of discursive and built spaces. Engaging thematically a. o. with diasporic and queerfeminist spaces and the entanglement of colonialism and architecture/infrastructures. For this I use different media such as drawing, mapping, video as well as performance. One key focus in my work is working as a facilitator giving workshops and seminars sharing my practice (embodied mapping, drawing and theory).
Together with Sarah Naira Herfurth, we founded the Habi Kollektiv حبي , where we jointly develop projects and educational formats in spatial planning around the relationship of space and race/colonialism. Since 2019 I am are part of fem_arc collective in Berlin. Together with initiatives and groups of different age groups, we develop projects that take a critical look at power structures in space and individual experiences of discrimination.
